Who, over the age of 45, hasn’t pulled up on the skin at the jawline/ear juncture? I probably do it daily just to remind myself of what I used to look like before gravity kicked my ass. While the whole goal of a facelift is to address exactly this mushiness in the lower part of the face, not everyone wants or can afford surgery. So, what’s a girl (or guy) to do? Well, you’re going to follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Anniston, Julia Roberts and Alicia Keyes, and fire up your fingers to order the vibrating gold face bar by Jillian Dempsey. A 3-5 minute session with this baby delivers an instant facelift.
I’d been eyeing this roller since it was first introduced a few years ago, but had refrained from purchasing it thanks to its fairly hefty price tag ($195). I mean, a new pair of shoes or a silly looking gold T-bar? Tough call. That is right up until I saw myself on my first Zoom call. YIKES! I literally couldn’t order this roller fast enough, and am happy to report that the benefits are well worth the price tag.
Benefits of Vibrating Gold Face Bar
The Jillian Dempsey Vibrating Gold Face Bar is a gym session for your face. Since the bar does all the work, however, it’s the lazy person’s workout. Why, you may ask, should one exercise or massage the face? Well, because the benefits of any kind of facial massage are pretty dang impressive. It:
- increases circulation & blood flow
- delivers a healthy flush or glow
- decreases puffiness
- reduces facial tension
- temporarily diminishes the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
- stimulates collagen
- increases lymphatic drainage & releases toxins
- improves product absorption
- promotes relaxation
Bottom line, the skin on your face will feel refreshed and look more smooth, lifted and plump. Who needs foundation when you’ve got a vibrating gold face bar?
Less Facial Tension is More Youthful Looking
You may not realize it, but we all hold a lot of tension in our faces. Since I suffer from TMJ, I am particularly aware of this fact because my jawline will actually hurt by the end of the day — especially these days. There’s nothing like “white knuckling” through the constant fear and stress of a global pandemic to add about a decade to the skin on your face. All that worrying literally creates lines. So, reducing facial tension not only feels fantastic, but it helps eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles so that you look and feel more youthful. The latter is really the key because when you feel more vital and energetic, you are usually happier. And who couldn’t use a bit more happy, right?
Pros & Cons of Vibrating Gold Face Bar
The thing that I love most about my vibrating gold face bar is that after just a 3 minute session, I feel like I’ve gone to the spa. It completely relaxes my TMJ, lifts the “deputy dog” droops or “commas” around my mouth, and gives my skin that lovely “brisk walk” flush. There is also some science that says that it may help with product absorption.
Many of us spend a small fortune on topical products for our skin like Vitamin C and/or retinol. However, the efficacy of any skincare serum or cream is limited because they can’t penetrate into the deeper layers of your dermis on their own. It is thought that the vibrations of this bar may help more of the nutrients in your skincare products to make their way deeper into your skin. Furthermore, the sonic vibrations produce negative ions which, apparently, creates positive vibes. I can’t tell you whether the science is true, but my morning roller session certainly makes me feel happy.
The downside of the vibrating gold face bar is that the benefits are temporary. However, if you do a session in the morning, you can expect the results to last anywhere from 10-12 hours. And if you want to do another session in the evening before you go out, feel free. The only caveat is that your skin must be clean. Otherwise, you are just vibrating makeup and accumulated dirt into your skin. Yuck!
How to Use Vibrating Roller
Using the vibrating gold face bar couldn’t be easier. After cleaning your face, apply a serum, face oil or light moisturizer — anything that will help the bar to glide over your skin. Turn the bottom of the handle, and move the bar in an upward motion. I start at the bottom of my neck, and then use the bar to contour along my jawline and cheekbones. If you’ve got a really sore area, you can use the bottom of the T for a more intense, spot massage. I spend about a minute on my neck and each cheek. I may do a quick pass over the forehead to reduce those horizontal lines, but because it’s bony up there, I keep it brief. And oftentimes, I will spend a little time on my temples just because it feels yummy.
So, there’s my BFH tip for how to vibrate your way to an instant facelift. Just remember, though, that like Cinderella, your skin will turn back into a pumpkin come midnight.
