I have always been obsessed with motorcycles. Not to drive them myself, mind you. The one time that I got behind the wheel of a mini-bike, I panicked and forgot how the use the brakes and crashed head first into my friend Whitney’s gate. No, it’s not the bikes themselves so much as the accouterments — i.e. the leather motorcycle jacket.
My brother has one of super thick leather, made to actually protect the torso from an asphalt body plant, that I’ve been trying to steal for years to no avail. And my Mom has one by Rick Owens that is just the epitome of sophisticated cool. Unfortunately, I can’t even fit my arms in it.
So, you can imagine how excited I got when I saw this photo of a new fitness jacket from New Balance that looks just like a “Moto” jacket. Imagine the comfort of fitness wear with the coolness of faux leather, all for under $200. I know what I’m asking for this birthday….
